We recommend that you allow approximately 4-6 weeks preparation time for the UCAT. This means that if you start preparing your for your UCAT in July, then it is best to sit it in mid-August. The best time to take the test is when you are off in the summer and you do not have any pressure of schoolwork. 2.Practice, practice, practice.
The UCAT is unlike any other examination that you have done before. It is an aptitude test and, yes, you can prepare for any aptitude tests. Studies have shown that the more hours you put into preparing for any aptitude test, the better will be your result. At the start, your score will improve slowly and when you have the knowledge and techniques honed, you will find that your score will have a great increase. It is best to first of all learn all about the UCAT, and then start by practising with untimed questions from our Question Bundle. Next select the sections and types of questions where you are not scoring well, and really prioritise these questions. You will find with practice that you will quickly improve your score here.
